Quakers beat Bulldogs for County Title
Poor shooting from the Bulldogs doomed the possibility of a third county title Saturday night. The Dogs shot a chilling 32% against the Quakers. The Dogs outrebounded, shot 19 more shots, scored seven more points from the foul line, and even forced more turnovers than Plainfield. Nevertheless the Dogs couldn't overcome the poor field goal percentage. Nor could the Dogs slow the Quaker attack as Plainfield scorched the nets each quarter to win 65-73. The Dogs were lead by Torrey Nibbs who slashed for 14 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds. Enique Mason scored 12 points, grabbed six boards, and blocked three shots. Joacob Stevens was a perfect 5 for 5 from the foul line, scored 9 points, and grabbed nine rebounds. Kurtis Runyon scored 8 points and boarded five off the glass. Austin Fish dropped in nine points. J.D. Cosby had 5 steals to go along with seven points. Jacob Eldridge had 5 points and 5 rebounds.
