Manual honors teammate again with gutsy performance.

Rebounding after a loss in a sport is one thing; however, coming back to the hardwood after losing a teammate to death is simply a tribute to the character of Manual's players and coaches. With their teammate's jersey resting on the bench, the Redskins controlled the majority of the first half of basketball. Manual drove and cut consistently to the paint for easy baskets and free-throw attempts. The Redskins controlled the boards with passionate rebounds and put backs. Not until the clock was winding down in the second quarter did the Bulldogs get any breathing room. That was when Levi Roach nailed a bomb from the right wing. The shot helped Roach earn a career high 11 points for the game and keep the Dogs ahead for the middle two quarters. Brownsburg picked up the defense in the second half holding the Redskins to 19 total points while the purple and white offense remain consistent outscoring Manual 31-19. Enique Mason led the Dogs with 14 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Austin Fish scored 13 points going 4-4 from the free-throw line. Levi Roach dropped in 11 including two tri-fectas. J.D. Cosby dished out five assists and scored eight points. Jacob Stevens scored six points; Eldridge scored four, Runyon three, and Paddock two points in the victory. Although the Bulldogs earned a 'W' in the win loss column, the Manual Redskins deserved one too. Our family will continue to pray for the coaching staff, teammates, and family of the young basketball player taken from all of us. Bless you Redskins.
