Coaches vs. Cancer - Friday Night in the Fieldhouse


Bulldog Basketball Family,
Come out Friday night and support our fight in Coaches vs. Cancer as we take on Noblesville at the Fieldhouse. All of us have been affected by this dreaded disease, and we ask that you help us surpass last year's amount of $1,200.00 raised in this endeavor.

Enjoy the inspiration from this cancer survivor, and bless all who have faced this disease.

Dogs Defeat Mavs 54-44

The boys’ basketball team defeated the McCutcheon Mavericks on Friday night 54-44. For the third straight win in a row the Bulldogs played solid team defense holding the Mavericks to just 30% shooting; on the other hand, the Dogs were disciplined on the offensive end knocking down 54% of their field goal attempts. In the first quarter the Dogs jumped out to a 12-9 lead. The Maverick defense picked up in the second quarter as they went to a triangle and two, but Taylor Shields knocked down a big three and Kenyatta Hardy drove for a pull up jumper. The two combined for five of the team’s nine points in the quarter and the Dogs took a 21-17 lead into the locker room. McCutcheon’s offense got going in the third quarter as their shooter knocked down two threes, their post players gathered offensive rebounds for put backs, and the Mavs score 19 in the quarter; however, the Bulldogs used a balanced offensive attack with six players scoring a total of 16 points to hold the Mavericks off 37-36. The Bulldog defense stepped up in the fourth quarter holding the Mavs to eight points while calmly knocking down 8-10 from the line to seal the victory 54-44. Jordan Reagan led all rebounders with a career high 10 boards and dished out four assists. Kyle Thompson, Taylor Shields, and Kenyatta Hardy all knocked down a basket. Evan Finley scored four points including 2-2 from the free-throw line. Chase Dutra handed out seven dimes, deflected three passes, grabbed five rebounds, scored eight points, and drove the Maverick defense crazy all night as he drove to the paint and found the open man. Mycah Whetstone scored eleven points and dished out two assists, and Jaraan Lands dropped in 14 and grabbed five rebounds. The Bulldogs want to thank the loyal fans, student body, and Eagle Elementary for coming out and cheering them on. Brownsburg faces Noblesville this Friday here at home!

Bulldogs serve at Wheeler Missions

Saturday afternoon the Brownsburg Boys' Basketball Team helped serve over three hundred meals at two locations for the Wheeler Missions in Indianapolis. This community service event is an eye opening experience for young and old, one in which all who served walked away feeling a stronger since of gratitude and humility. Parents Dana Miller, Mike Miller, and Richard Sutton deserve a special 'thank you' for organizing the event and providing transportation for our players. Enjoy the pictures of the event, and know that your Bulldogs are about more than winning basketball games.

Bulldogs earn 5th place in County


The Bulldogs beat Cascade 70-47 Saturday morning earning 5th place in the Hendricks County Tournament. The Dogs streaked for 52 points in the second and third quarters vs. the Cadets. Taylor Shields and Zach Miller both dished out an assist. Sam Comer had a duce. Evan Finley connected for four points and commanded the floor with his leadership and play calling. Kenyatta Hardy scored seven points. Darayl Jordan slammed home a dunk, nabbed five steals and totaled eight points. Mycah Whetstone hit all six of his shots in the second half scoring 18 points. Jaraan Lands pounded the boards, grabbing eight offensive rebounds and slashing to the basket for a very efficient double double with 11 rebounds and 21 points on 8-11 shooting. Chase Dutra was mint with his passes, dishing out 10 dimes to go along with 10 points earning him his first career double double. The Dogs are 4-7 on the year and face Manual Saturday night in the Fieldhouse.
